Tennis in the United States is played on three kinds of places: public park courts run by a city or county, member clubs and country clubs with their own pros and leagues, and commercial tennis centers that sell court time by the hour. Public courts are usually free and first come, first served, with a posted limit (often 60-90 minutes when others are waiting); busier cities run online reservation systems with a small fee and a permit for the season. Indoor courts are rented by the hour and booked days ahead in winter. Most facilities are hard courts; clay is common in the Southeast and at private clubs, and grass is rare. Lights extend play into the evening at many parks, sometimes with a coin or app-operated switch.

My stay at Tru by Hilton Comstock Park – Grand Rapids was great. The price was very reasonable, and the room was clean, comfortable, and a decent size. The bed was comfortable, and the Wi-Fi connection was fast and reliable. The complimentary breakfast was okay—nothing fancy, but it had the usual free breakfast options. This was my second stay at a Tru by Hilton (my first was in South Dakota), and I've had a consistently positive experience. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and affordable place to stay.

Hotel is adorable! We checked in late and were able to go straight to our room because of the digital check in. Skipping the front desk is my favorite thing! Very clean and breakfast was decent. Definitely worth staying here.

Great people to work with at this location. I was amazed with the kindness and responsiveness they showed! I booked multiple rooms and they were fantastic in sorting out all the family members rooms. One family member need to switch rooms and it was done quickly without any drama. Breakfast area was clean and orderly. Food was very good on the hotel scale. Eggs and pancakes were the highlights.
